Court Shock To AP Speaker, Issues Summons

Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao has to attend the Telangana court now.  The comment he made during 2014 elections have landed him into trouble.  As his remarks were controversial, cases were registered on him and the court summoned him to appear before them personally.
Kodela commented during a TV channel interview that he has spent Rs 11.50 crores in the 2014 elections.  Singireddy Bhaskar Reddy has approached the court that Kodela has broken the rules of Election Commission and he should be announced ineligible for the assembly.  Cases have been registered against him under several sections.
Court has issued summons on March 7, 2017.   Siva Prasad obtained stay order that he can’t attend the court personally.  Singireddy Bhaskar Reddy has challenged the stay order and approached the high court.  After listening to the arguments, the court has summoned AP Speaker Kodela to attend before them on June 18
